Today has been a different day. A good day but tiring all the same. Last night I went out for coffee with Nancy - we drove out to our new house to show her the place and then drove back into the city. Did some shopping in Homesense and Michaels and then sat in Second Cup for a couple of hours chatting. I realised this morning that I had such a good time last night that I didn't even notice who else was in the coffee shop. This is unusual for me as I normally feel quite self conscious in these places.
I got home around 10pm and Lloyd had had a good night with the children too so that was good! But half way around Michaels I had started feeling sicker and sicker - the kids have been ill with colds and I just knew I was starting with one. Luckily today I don't feel too bad but I can tell there is something..............my head hurts.
Angela came over this morning after dropping the kids at school. She brought two big bags of her daughters clothes over for my girls to sort through - they were in their element trying it all on!!! Angela also brought over the quilts she had picked up from her store. Two patchwork quilts and a duvet for Susannahs twin bed when it arrives (she has had our spare queen since we moved here).
I got the kids set at the table with their work for the day and then Angela and I headed out with sam. It's nice having Chris home to babysit the odd time. We drove out to the new house and had a walk around. Angela had a look through the windows and we said hi to the horse. Then we drove around the gold course and looked at the new homes there before heading into town. I took Angela to Joey Tomato's for a belated birthday lunch. DELICIOUS!!!! I had the sweet chilli chicken with some mushrooms and Angela had the quesadillas - Sam had garlic bread and ate the whole thing!! My cell phone had died so I was worried about the children - needlessly as they were fine. Chris headed out for lunch when we got back, and the girls have been playing outside all afternoon on their scooters and bikes so I have had a quiet afternoon really.
Tonight the mortgage guy is coming over for us to sign the papers for the new house. My beautiful beautiful new house.
I sat and watched Dawsons Creek this afternoon - a nice mellow show. I can't believe how much like Joey Susannah looks.
Oh and the girls performed some dances for me to the Disney CD they borrowed from the library. Susannahs dancing has really improved (thank God!!!)
I have spent tso much money the last two weeks - with going out with girlfriends and birthdays etc etc and I feel really bad for spending so much. Lloyd never complains but I still don't like 'wasting' it. But then again - I loooooooved that Chocolate banana nut bread pudding!!!! Mmmmmmm the whisky sauce is to die for!!!!
