Daily Tip:
adopt your own virtual pet!
you are mediumorchid
#BA55D3

Your dominant hues are red and blue. You're confident and like showing people new ideas. You play well with others and can be very influential if you want to be.

Your saturation level is medium - You're not the most decisive go-getter, but you can get a job done when it's required of you. You probably don't think the world can change for you and don't want to spend too much effort trying to force it.

Your outlook on life is brighter than most people's. You like the idea of influencing things for the better and find hope in situations where others might give up. You're not exactly a bouncy sunshine but things in your world generally look up.

I feel dreadful - the meds for the morning sickness have left me feeling sleepy and strange - like my eyes are so heavy and I can't seem to do anything. Think I am going to sleep on the sofa while Abigail plays.

06.10.04 (2:07 pm)   [edit]
I am so tired this afternoon. I am sat here sucking my thumb trying to think what to write. I haven't written in so long - thank you so much to the people who tmailed me to say they miss my blog and hope I am well!

I am doing ok. I saw my Doctor today and he has prescribed medication to stop the nausea and vomiting - Mornings aren't too bad but afternoons and evenings are just horrid.

It's been a busy week. Lloyd took Monday off and we went to West Ed Mall for the day with Abigail while the others were at school. WE took her to Galaxyland and she got to ride the little rollercoasters etc. We bought new bikes for Susie and Abby too and tennis rackets and balls for the boys (they already have bikes)

Tuesday was a kind of nothing day. Wednesday I went to my group thing and that was good - we decided that next week we will go to the Greek restaurant nearby for breakfast :) That should be different! Last night I had the dentist - it was Dr Tans last day as she has decided she can't bear to leave her little baby any more and wants to be a sahm - good for her I say!! Although I will miss her as my dentist!!
She was really understanding about my treatment knowing how sick I am feeling.

Today I went and had my hair cut. I went to this house where the lady has turned her basement into a salon - it was really nice and she did a great job of my hair - she layered it up and took the heaviness out of it and it actually looks longer than it did somehow!

After that I raced home and had lunch before shooting out again to the doctors - he froze my mole again and prescribed meds for the sickness and I made appointments for my pre natal care.

In the waiting room Abigail made lots of friends - an old man sat and read stories to her for ages :) I don't think my Doc has kids - he seemed quite bemused by Abby :)

After the Doctors we met Shawna and Kaitlyn in Tim Hortons for coffee and donuts! Abigail spent the whole time sorting through Shawna's bag and emptying the contents everywhere and Kaitlyn ate cheerios :) Shawna bought me a gift - some preggie pops!! They are lollipops (suckers??) that are supposed to ease morning sickness. Yay - that was so kind of her!!! She leaves tonight for Manitoba for 10 days - they are going home for a wedding there. I hope they have a safe drive there - they are driving the 13 hours through the night and the weather is dreadful - rain and horrible roads :(

I was going to take the children swimming tonight but I don't think I am up to it now - I seem to have been rushing about a lot - think I will go and get my new meds and then tomorrow night hopefully I won't feel sick at all.

Well the kids just walked in from school so I have to go!!

Bye for now :)

peeing on the keyboard
06.04.04 (10:20 am)   [edit]
My day is going great - I am home today so figured I would have a go at toilet training Abigail. She used the potty twice and was doing great and then she was using the pc while I sorted laundry. I called out to remind her to use the potty and she said it was ok because she peed on my computer chair instead! :( I went to look and she was right - and had also managed somehow to pee all over the keyboard and the desk - the mouse is all sticky from pee :( how nice is that???????? So my desk chair is out on the deck and I poured soapy water all over it and will leave it in the sunshine to dry. the keyboard obviously isn't cleaned enough because there is a fly annoying me by trying to land on it as I type!

It's been a crazy busy week - busy Daze was a great title for my blog! What have I been up to?

Tuesday night CA picked me up at 4:30 and we went on a tour of the scrapbook stores. There were 16 of us. I managed to spend plenty in the scrapbook stores :) and then we all headed to the Olive Garden for dinner. Shawna joined us there too - our table was the roudiest - it was great meeting Lisa and Kimberley etc and we had good fun. The food was great as usual and we gave out the gift bags to the ladies who were from out of town. CA gave me a RAK - some tags for Canada Day :) I love them!

I got home about 11:30 Tuesday night but being pregnant it felt far too late and my head was pounding!

Wednesday morning I crawled out of bed and made it to my wednesday group - it was a birthday celebration of 3 women who have birthdays over the summer - so we had coffee and birthday cake and generally chatted and gossiped all morning :) I told them all my news since the last time I had been. Wednesday afternoon and evening I felt really tired and ill and so Lloyd took Laurie to the dentist and grocery shopping on his own. The landscapers came round Wednesday night - the topsoil (9 truckloads) will be delivered next Wednesday and they will start work the Thursday! Lets hope we don't get much rain before then!!!

Thursday I got up early again and drove out to Monicas acreage for coffee - she made me a chocolate cheesecake to celebrate passing my test - yum!!! Susan, Penny and Linda were there too and it was a nice morning. I drove home via the school and took 8 packs of nice cookies into the office as a gift tot he staff for the school offering to pay for the bussing next year :) I love my kids school - it's a great school!

Then after lunch I walked Abigail to the swings for a while and we stopped off at two garage sales. then home and Abby played in the paddling pool while I sunbathed on the deck. the kids came home and we all sat on the deck and chatted until Lloyd came home at 5pm. Then we ran to Sobeyes for some groceries for dinner and we ate jacket potatoes with tune and mayo and a big crunchy salad. My favourite :)

Today I have caught up with all the laundry, tidied round and dusted and wiped down walls - I always feel a bit better in the mornings and very sick in the afternoons and evenings instead.

Tonight was supposed to be my cropnight here at the house - I have about 8 - 10 friends over on the first Friday of every month to scrapbook until midnight! But I feel so ill and there is no way I can stay up that late atm so Tara is hosting instead :)

Mandy keeps emailing me and is all chatty and friendly - thats good news in that she is feeling good atm but I just cant deal with the mood swings right now :( One minute she is so friendly and chatty and the next she is angry and moody and refuses to speak or just ignores me.

Right now I am focusing on my family, my pregnancy and the few close friends I have in my life right now that I enjoy being with. Maybe thats selfish but it's how I need to be for me :)

Susannah missed the school bus yesterday afternoon so I had to drive and get her - her teacher told me that she had fallen off her seat on the bs that morning and some people had laughed at her - Susie got really upset and just kept her head down and cried - so she decided not to get on the bus that night - instead she went to hunt for a ladybug with her friend Brianna!!! Her teacher knew she missed it on purpose as asked why and Susie had said how she doesn't want to go to school anymore because she misses her mummy all the time roflmao!!! Susie loves school and loves her teacher! Anyway today she went off happily with her brothers and the incident was all forgotten I think! She promised me she wouldn't miss the bus tonight!

Lloyd isn't working this weekend and he also has Monday off to make up for working on Victoria Day last week. I wnated him to take a day off while the children are still in school and we can go out for lunch together - I think we are plannning to go over to West Ed Mall for a while and have lunch somewhere there.

The garlic we are growing are growing like crazy - I'm so pleased - this week we also planted Apricot and peach stones. Not sure if they will go but worth a try :) The apple trees are about 2 inches tall already which is good :)

I need lunch :)

reuniting with old friends
06.01.04 (10:12 am)   [edit]
I have my details on the Friends Reunited Website for the UK - as do thousands of people. I like to be nosey at what people are doing these days and where they are living. Although I have heard from some of the people I was close to but lost touch with - I can see why we lost touch - and apart from the odd email to say hi what are you up to? we don't stay in touch regularly.

Today I got an email from someone I was very good friends with at school (11yrs - 16 yrs) WE have gone in such different directions with our lives and I know how nasty and two faced she is - how she always has been and from her email I see she hasn't changed. I have decided to not reply. I have deleted the email and didn't save her email address. I just don't trust her any more.

Has anyone else used the websites that help you reunite with old school friends? I know they can be great - my Dad had his high school reunion a couple of years ago and was thrilled to see everyone after so long. Both my sisters have been to theirs.

I don't know why I just think I would really rather leave all that in the past now - if we were that close and had that much in common we would ahve stayed in touch - and juust the thought of this girl having my address makes me feel uncomfortable.

What've I done???????????????????
06.01.04 (9:57 am)   [edit]
I am very happy to be pregnant. Really. We have been trying for so long and it's great news - Lloys is just on top of the world with happiness. But it doesn't stop those immense 'What the hell have I done'? moods. Feeling sick and tired with no motivation to do anything doesn't help.

We told the children on Sunday - it rained all weekend without stopping - we drove them out to Elk Island Park and through Lamont County to see the bison farms and everything and we told them in the Park.

Chris (11) said 'Can I go and live with another family'?

Laurence (8) said 'oh crap' and then proceeded to explain to his half asleep 6 year old sister that we were having an alien!!!!!??????

Susie (6) didn't respond.

Abigail (2) is now under the impression that she too has a baby in her tummy.

All in all it went down well huh????? This news that they are to have another sibling :) Geez it's not like we make them share a room or anything!!!!

Sunday night I sat on Susies bed tucking her in and asked if she was going to tell her teacher about us having a baby. Her eyes opened wide and she asked 'are you having another baby'? I guess she had been more sleepy in the car than we thought! Anyway she was fascinated and asked lots of questions and seemed pleased except that she was worried the baby may arrive on her birthday and spoil her party at the Build A Bear Workshop!

Yesterday was good - now I have my licence I can get out of the house more - so yesterday I met Shawna, Tara and Carolyn at the swimming pool and we took all out little ones swimming for a couple of hours. Abby kept me busy though constantly going from one end of the pool to the other while the other moms with their tiny not-yet-crawling babies got to sit and chat!

I was asleep by 8:30pm having just made scrambled eggs on toast for everyone for dinner - I was just too tired to cook - and at least everyone enjoyed it.

Along with early pregnancy I am failing as a wife!!! lol!!! Lloyd doesn't care really but I do - the house is a mess (in my opinion - which compares to Martha Stewart) I hate that I don't have the energy or motivation to do anything :( My home is normally immaculate :(

Laurence is off of school sick today - just typical because it's class photo day :(

Tonight I am going out with some friends. Carole-Anne is picking me up at 4:30 and we are collecting Deanna and then heading to the scrapbook store to meet some others then on to another scrapbook store to meet a few others and then 16 of us are piling into The Olive Garden for diner :) I am looking forward to meeting some new people and catching up with friends - Shawna is coming too :) I hope I feel better and more energetic by then. Right now it's 12pm and I am not dressed - climbed out of the bath where I soaked for an hour and haven't done anything to my hair :( I have had some toast and a glass of milk and all my pre natal tablets. fun fun fun. I hope I can get through the evening ok.

But the like I said at the start.................what have I done??????????????
